Our Story
It started with luck.
Our founder was a sophomore at UCI trying to break into investment banking, with no connections and no playbook, and got a warm intro to an IB analyst from a target school. Over a few calls, that analyst outlined everything he knew, including the exact curriculum that got him his IB and subsequent PE job. What to study, when, from where, with whom. Our founder followed it. Months later, he had an offer at Citi IB in New York.
The realization: he wasn't special. He inherited a knowledge pipeline that other UCI students didn't have. His classmates were just as smart and just as hungry. They had simply never met the right person.
So in 2023, he brought together the sharpest people he knew and built ITG to close that gap permanently.
Today, we're the largest finance community at UC Irvine, with over 150 students at our weekly meetings. We host our own international stock pitch competition, manage a $50,000+ student-managed investment fund, and have placed members into JPMorgan, Centerview, Barclays, and other top firms across investment banking, private equity, and asset management. In January 2025, we became a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Now, UCI students don't need luck to break into the top firms in finance. They have ITG.
